¡Artajona welcomes you with pleasure! We hope you can get to know our culture, traditions and every corner of this beautiful Navarrese town.
Within the walls of Artajona, a small town in the Middle Zone halfway between Puente la Reina and Tafalla, a lot of history is hidden that will take you back to the Middle Ages; times of territorial conquests and marriages of convenience, in which the town became a wedding gift from King García Ramírez to his wife, Doña Urraca. The impressive walled complex of "El Cerco", with free access, explains by itself the struggles that this town faced, made up of narrow streets in which emblazoned facades, mansions and palaces abound. Walking through its streets full of medieval charm, tradition and history, you will feel that the present becomes the past and vice versa. Stroll through Eugenio Mendíroz streets, with stone paving and steep slopes; Mayor, adorned with monumental houses and palaces with elegant facades ennobled with coats of arms; or San Pedro, a narrow street with an irregular layout.
